To make the bitches bark

This contemporary dance piece studies the systems of power that standardize sexuality in present-day Chile, taking as a main reference the essay “The History of Sexuality” by Michel Foucault.

During this creative process, every performer explores one of the topics described by Michel Foucault in his book: the histerization of women, the system of alliances (marriage) that leads to the inheritance of resources and power, the onanism of children (sexuality), and the commercialization of pleasures (prostitution) and the image in advertising (voyeurism). It is a work that presents itself as an analytical piece, without giving opinions, exhibiting the effect on performers and the director, based on their own experience and the ideas of Foucault.
